Rebecca Deaton
MD, FACOG

Dr. Rebecca Deaton has been a practicing
Obstetrician and Gynecologist for nearly 25
years. She remembers her first gynecological
exam as a scared young college student. She
wished she had had the option of choosing a
female physician for that exam. At the time,
women in medicine were rare. Dr. Deaton
wanted to be a part of changing that aspect
of medicine. Women’s health care became
her life-long work and an inspiration behind
The Women’s Health Group (TWHG), which
she and associate, Dr. Kathleen Heffron,
founded in January of 1991.

Dr. Deaton graduated from Ada High
School in Ada, OK, earned a
bachelors degree in Physiology from
Oklahoma State University, completed
medical school at the University of
Oklahoma, and fulfilled her residency
through the University of Oklahoma
at Tulsa. Dr. Deaton is a member of
the Tulsa County Medical Society, the
Oklahoma State Medical Association,
the American Medical Association, the
American College of Obstetricians and
Gynecologists and the International
Society for the Study of Women’s
Sexual Health. She is board certified
in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
