Our Philosophy
Women deserve to receive care from physicians who understand their
problems and with whom they are comfortable discussing their most
personal issues. Our physicians and staff are dedicated to respecting
the personal dignity of our patients and to maintaining the highest
standards of care. Comfort, respect and quality medical care are the
values that guide us.

At The Women’s Health Group, you will discover seven talented
physicians, trained at some of the nation’s top medical centers,
along with Physician Assistants and Registered Ultrasonographers.
All providers are supported by a dedicated, professional staff. We
provide a full range of pregnancy, gynecological and surgical services.
We also offer education and counseling regarding all women’s issues.

What is an Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OBGYN)?
An Obstetrician/Gynecologist (OBGYN) is a physician who provides
medical and surgical care to women during all phases of life: from
adolescence, through the childbearing years, and on into the advanced
years. Obstetrics and Gynecology deal with the various aspects of the
female reproductive system for both pregnant and non-pregnant patients,
and are two distinct surgical fields combined into one medical specialty.

Obstetricians complete intense education and training in pregnancy, labor
and puerperium (the time immediately after the delivery of a baby). Gynecologists complete training in the female reproductive system,
including the diagnosis and treatment of disorders and diseases.
Education and training for both fields occur simultaneously, enabling a
physician with this level of expertise to provide tremendous preventative
and prenatal care to women.
